and there will be rain (2023)

A work for string orchestra commissioned by Adelphi University and whose composition was overseen by Dr. Paul Moravec. The title and content of the piece is inspired by the poem “There Will Be Soft Rains” by Sara Teasdale and I wanted to evoke the feeling of rain that washes and cleanses the earth of whatever humanity does to it. and there will be rain was premiered by the Adelphi Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Stefano Miceli, on April 21, 2023.
