Harpsichord/Viola da Gamba
An advocate of historically-informed performance, Kevin is proficient with both solo and ensemble playing. Also, he is comfortable reading basso continuo and improving on a given figured bass. Kevin has performed with multiple chamber ensembles—most often with the Long Island-based Baroque ensemble he helped found, Four and Twenty Strings.

Piano and Percussion
Although Kevin’s primary instrument nowadays is harpsichord, he has not forgotten his pianist roots. On piano, Kevin has studied and played in a variety of styles such as classical, jazz, pop, and klezmer. He has also studied percussion (including mallet percussion) and has played with percussion ensembles and concert bands.

Other Instruments
Kevin has proficiency in mandolin, recorder, ukulele, pipe and tabor, guitar, and is a decent baritone. On non-primary instruments, Kevin has performed with a variety of ensembles, large and small, and is unafraid of making sounds no matter what the medium. One particular favorite is the kazoo, on which he specializes in the works of Franz Schubert and Liza Lehmann.
