Edgar Allan Poe Songs (2018)

A song cycle consisting of five songs, all Edgar Allan Poe settings, for medium-high voice and piano. I like to joke that this work is cursed because every time it was going to be performed, the singer became sick that week and could not perform the songs. (However, this has only happened twice. If it happens once more, then I will officially declare this song cycle cursed.) The poems set are “Eldorado,” “A Valley of Unrest,” “A Valentine,” “Alone,” and “Annabel Lee.”
