Never Doubt I Love (2019-2020)

“Doubt thou the stars are fire; Doubt that the sun doth move; Doubt truth to be a liar; But never doubt I love” (Hamlet, Act 2 Scene 2). I got the title of my song cycle from this beautiful Shakespeare quote, which I believe is fitting because this cycle consists of fourteen Shakespearean sonnets set to music. Each sonnet is open to interpretation and are available in lead sheet format so that the accompaniment can be provided by any instrumentation. As of 2023, there are voice and piano scores available of each sonnet so they can be performed as typical art songs.
